It is with a sad heart that Linda and Jessica

send the news that

Charter Member Lee Weed

has passed away.

Wife of the late Barry Weed, also a dedicated

club charter member, Lee served 

the club faithfully for many years as

corresponding secretary, scholarship

committee chair and, 

most recently, as vice president.

A Paul Harris Fellow, Lee was fond of

referring to our club as

"her Rotary family" and she faithfully

attended meetings via Zoom during

the pandemic and right up until last week.

She bravely battled cancer far beyond

what the medical community

predicted and, among her last wishes

was that the club name one of its

scholarships 

The Lee and Barry Weed

Scholarship,

which will be awarded to a high school senior who has demonstrated exemplary

community service.

Lee's loving, giving spirit will be sorely

missed and our thoughts will

be with her son Rick, daughter-in-law Adrienne, Lee's grandchildren, her sister Sue Bartlett,

extended family, and her dear "other daughter," Diane Treadwell.

Further announcement of final

arrangements will be forthcoming

after Thanksgiving.
