Scuttlebutt August 23, 2020 I hope everyone got out of the rain in time. I was out sailing and was on the last launch in from the boat before they closed the launch down due to lightning and rain. The clouds were very impressive. This Tuesday will be our club assembly. Each committee will present information about their activities, including the POPS committee. POPS has lots to share and will need the assistance of all members to contact possible sponsors. From Lisa Hooper, Director Council on Aging Thank you for the opportunity of speaking with your Rotary members! It was a pleasure! At the end of the meeting you asked if there was anything the Rotary could help us with now and in the future. After discussing, we could use a few “strong” volunteers to assist us once a month with the Boston Food Bank deliveries. Typically it’s the first Monday of the month. For September, the delivery date is Monday, September 14th and the tentative timeframe is between 9:30-11am. We can confirm the time as we get closer. Please let me know if you have anyone interested. Thank you! Lauren how did the museum Saturday tag sale go? When I went there were at least 20 people in line. The Post office rally was successful. Lots of people attended. |
