Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor to Present
“Holiday Pops Reimagined 2020”
on Saturday, December 12

The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor is reimagining its annual Holiday Pops concert as an online presentation for the 2020 holiday season in the spirit of continuing the concert’s long-standing tradition of community celebration.

Rotary Club President Dr. Patricia Sullivan and concert program co-chairs Judith Black and Betty Lautner are creating a virtual Pops program full of music performed by Dirk Hillyer, The Hillyer Festival Orchestra and popular local musicians and vocalists. The program will also include sing-a-longs and holiday memories shared by Marbleheaders.

“Holiday Pops Reimagined 2020” will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. The link to the event will be posted on rotaryclubofmarbleheadharbor.org.

Each year, Holiday Pops has featured art by a local artist who has generously donated the artwork to be raffled to support local needs. This year’s Holiday Pops art, featuring, as always, Abbot Hall, is by Stephen Limon. A virtual Artist Reception in his honor will be held on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m. Raffle tickets, note cards and giclée prints of the artwork will be available for purchase at rotaryclubofmarbleheadharbor.org, and at several local establishments. The winning ticket will be announced on the evening of the concert.

Proceeds from the Artist Reception, Stephen Limon’s artwork and the Holiday Pops concert will be donated to local Marblehead charitable organizations. In previous years the club has donated to the Marblehead Food Pantry, Marblehead Female Humane Society, Marblehead Council on Aging, SPUR, Marblehead afterschool programs, and scholarships for Marblehead students. Your support will aid all of these groups during this time of need.

Please plan to celebrate the holiday season by attending the Artist Reception on November 12 and the joyful Holiday Pops concert on December 12. More information will be available at rcomh.org in the coming weeks.
