“You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.” MayaAngelou       Sometimes I cannot wait for Don’s Tuesday morning words.

We have a lot happening.  In August we will begin our in-person meetings which will also be hybrid-zoomed.  So folks can gather at the Masons and at home which ever better fits their needs and wants. Our first week August 3rd might be a bit shaky. We will figure out our technology.
August 10th is the visit from our District Governor, Terry Rezendes Curran.  Everyone please try to be at the meeting one way or the other. August 3rd please bring your own drink and food refreshment, on August 10th we will be having a full breakfast.

In September we will have our long-awaited Membership Meeting on September 14th.  Each member is encouraged to bring at least one potential member who might be interested in joining our club. Who we are and what we do as Rotarians is vital to our local, national, and international communities. Rotary helps us be a part of something greater than ourselves.  Belonging to Rotary and to our club provides a way to open into the world again. In the next few weeks we will talk more about this special meeting.

From Jessica:  September 16 marks the 25th Anniversary of our Rotary Club. Amazing, but true. That’s something to celebrate and we could all use a celebration right now.  Would you like to help brainstorm ideas for celebrating our club’s Silver Anniversary?  We’ll be covering a 15-month period from September 16 through Holiday Pops 2022, which will coincidentally be the 25th Anniversary of Pops. Also amazing! Please let Jessica Barnett know your level of interest at jdharbar@comcast.net by Tuesday evening so we can start planning the fun right away. Thank you!

Our District grant application for the refrigerator to help the Lynn Neighborhood Network has been approved.  Thanks to Linda D and her Foundation committee.

The Allocations Committee has presented to the Board their recommendations for this year’s distribution and the Board has accepted their report.  I will share with the club soon.

The Finance committee report was discussed at the Board meeting.  We approved quarterly dues of $100.  We can discuss at our next business meeting if any questions.
