Getting Ready for August –
Rotary’s Membership Month and
Enhancing Your Engagement

1 of Jennifer Jones's 4 Action Initiatives

RI President Jennifer Jones “imagines” a Rotary where members act to make their dreams reality and get the most out of their club experiences by...
    (1) taking a participant-centered approach - making sure you, our guests and our partners know that what everyone brings to Rotary is valued.
    (2) looking at ways to measure your engagement and satisfaction to better understand what you are getting out of your Rotary experience.

At our July 28 board meeting and also at our August 2 Club Assembly, we'll be discussing what you "Imagine" and what you'd like to do an accomplish this year. This is your club. It's never too late to send additional ideas to Jessica at jdharbar@comcast.net.

In addition, Jennifer urges us to take care of each other. Lee Weed and Karyn Lang are our club’s “Sunshine Committee” co-chairs. Please let them know if you or someone in our club needs a bit of sunshine, a note of encouragement, a note of care and or a note to recognize or congratulate them on something special.

Our Club Goals for 2022-23
Each year, Rotary International challenges clubs to select and fulfill a set of goals. This year, there were 15 goals that looked both achievable and beneficial for our club. If we meet 13 of these goals, we can qualify for the Presidential Citation:

• Increase/rebuild club membership to 30.
• 2 members will participate in service projects.
• 2 members will sponsor new members.
• 3 members will participate in leadership development.
• 2 members will attend the district conference.
• 1 committee chairperson will attend the district training assembly.
• Contribute $300 to PolioPlus.
• Participate in / Conduct 5 service projects.
• Sponsor 1 existing Interact club
• Sponsor 2 students to participate in Rotary Youth Leadership
• Our online presence accurately reflects our current activities
• 8 social activities outside of the regular meetings
• Twice each month monitor and update the website and social media
• 6 media stories / published news releases will cover our club
• Use Rotary official promotional materials
