We are pleased to have with us this week members of the Dunlop family who will be sharing with us some of their experiences being a mixed-race family. Judy Dunlop, the family grandmother, is a long time Marbleheader.  Her son John works for the State Department’s USAID.  When he was in Rwanda he met and married Angelique.  They have two mixed race children James and Malaika and they have adopted their African niece Migone Karelezi.  James and Mignone are living at Judy’s home now waiting for colleges in Arizona to open.  Malaika and maybe John will be joining us from Madagascar where they are stationed. At different times in their lives they have lived in Marblehead, Washington DC, Jordan, and now Madagascar. They all have interesting stories to tell about their life experiences.
We also welcome members of the Marblehead Racial Justice Team who were with us last week.

Please remember to sign up for committees.  We will be talking about the committees next week at our July 28th business meeting.  This link should get you to the google doc https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ERQGTR47a_2z0xbfEKNHF5z2ZUroOTfsI0cgNFb6a6w/edit#gid=0      Otherwise please email me and I will enter your preferences.
