Scuttlebutt December 6th, 2020
Christmas/Holiday walk was cancelled.  Our town needs us.  If you do holiday shopping please keep it local.  We want our shops to be there once the pandemic is over.

This week is all about POPS.  December 12th at 7pm the link will be live on our webpage.  https://rotaryclubofmheadharbor.org/     Please send out information to ALL your contacts.  This is what I have put in the front of the POPS program book that Jessica wrote.  Use any or all of this as you share with your family and friends.

Welcome to the Holiday POPS Reimagined 2020 brought to you by the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor.  We are pleased that despite the many challenges of 2020 we have been able to continue our long tradition of the Holiday POPS.  Although we are not in the beautiful auditorium of Abbot Hall you will be able to enjoy holiday favorites from the Hillyer Festival Orchestra and many wonderful musical pieces from local, Broadway, and international vocalists. Additionally, we have included holiday memories from members of our community.
The Holiday POPS is the primary fundraising event of our Marblehead Harbor Rotary.  We generously support many local charities including the Marblehead Food Pantry, the Female Humane Society, The Edith Dodge Fund, the Council on Aging, The Counseling Center, Marblehead METCO, and Anchor to Winward.
We appreciate your support of our club so that we in turn can continue the ways we support our community.  Please go to our web page to donate to the POPS and to purchase some of the beautiful artwork painted by Steve Limon.   https://rotaryclubofmheadharbor.org/

Our donations keep coming in, we may reach our goal of $10,000.The notecards, prints and giclee are selling quickly.  These make wonderful holiday gifts and holiday cards.

Our club has sent $1,000 to the Food Pantry.  We are grateful that we can support our community in this way.

Three ministerial organizations in town are collecting winter coats for homeless in Lynn.  If you would like to contribute send me a message and I will give you the information.

On a sad note Jody Martin’s mother died the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Lenny has reported that Jody’s treatments are going well.  And thanks to our members who have been supplying food to them once a week.
