Scuttlebutt 3/6/22
Hello all,  This Tuesday we have a Club Assembly.  Issues to discuss are:
1. Our Super De Duper yard sale happening May 14-15.
2. Financial decisions to invest some of our saving’s money.  Becky will present our investment policy and our current treasurer’s report.  We again will be meeting in-person and on zoom.

Jess will have gone to PETS (President Elect Training Seminar) this weekend.  She may have information for us.

From our Yard Sale Coordinators:  While our club’s Giant Yard Sale at Barnett’s isn’t until May 14 and 15, there are some things we can begin to prep for a successful two days: (1) Begin collecting two-handled brown paper shopping bags and handled recyclable plastic bags (ex. CVS and Target). We’ll recycle any unused bags. (2) If you subscribe to a newspaper, we’ll need them for wrapping breakable items. Again, we’ll recycle any unused papers. (3) Do you enjoy hands-on art projects? We’ll need an easel size storyboard about “What Rotary Is and What Rotary Does.” It will be placed at the entrance to Barnett’s yard right next to the cashiers’ table. (Let Linda D. know if you’re interested in this last “ask.” Pls. leave a message 781-631-6938).

Volunteers are needed to make this fundraising and fun event successful.  We all need to gather items, let others know about the event, and sign up for a committee.

Rotary International has shared ways that we all can help in the Ukrainian situation.  Much of this help may go to clubs in Poland that are helping refugees.  Also Shelter box is providing temporary shelter.
