GUEST SPEAKER - JULIE HAHNKE
We are honored that Julie Hahnke will be joining us this Tuesday, August 9, to talk about her stroke and how the experience inspired her to found Cecropia Strong. You may want to visit Julie's website at https://cecropiastrong.org prior to the meeting where she tells us, ""When I was hospitalized following my stroke, I was in a brain fog. I was akin to the cecropia moth emerging from its cocoon—I didn't know which end was up. But those around me shared their hope until I could find it for myself!"
You are welcome to invite friends to hear Julie.
WELCOME TO OUR TWO NEW MEMBERS
Priscilla Burnaby
Vincent Caortenuto
We hope to officially induct them into membership on Tuesday, August 16, if not before.
LAST CALL FOR DIAPERS FOR
LYNN SHELTER ASSOC.
Linda Doliber asks us, as we are able, to bring diapers - Sizes 4 and 5 - to this Tuesday's breakfast meeting to be delivered to the Association
later in the morning.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
SIGNING CARDS FOR
THOSE SERVING IN THE MILITARY
Last week, Linda Maffeo, president of ElderAct, asked for our help in providing signed cards and messages for those serving in the military.
In response, Linda Doliber will be providing cards at our breakfast meeting this week so we can start signing. Linda Maffeo will need the signed cards by September 5 so they can reach
those serving overseas.
If you'd like to contribute cards to this project, please do bring them to any Tuesday breakfast meeting in August.

Notes from Last Week's
Club Business Meeting
• Club dues for 2022-23 will be $100 per quarter or $33.33 per month. If you'd prefer monthly billing, please contact Becky Linhart.
• Possible return to full breakfast: Louise has offered to help us return to a full breakfast for $12 per person if we can "guarantee" 12 members will attend in-person and will pay the $12. Currently breakfast is not included in our dues bills, but is paid by the member upon arrival to the meeting, much the way the Rotary Club of Marblehead handles their lunch payments. Breakfast would include an egg dish, a meat, fruit, a bakery item, coffee, tea and orange juice. If you are interested in the return to full breakfast, please let Tim Shotmeyer know.
• Monthly Service Projects: As part of our commitment to being sure this is "your club," we want to support your philanthropic interests and work. If you have an idea for a service project, please jot it down on the 3x5 card on the table or email Jessica. So far, our service project calendar includes...
