Scuttlebutt July 25th, 2021
We have exciting news!  John delivered the allocation funds to Tom Kulevich and Rick Cohen at TriCity Sales for the refrigerator.  We will have it delivered to the Lynn location soon.  Yea us and particularly thanks to Linda D and the Foundation committee for their efforts in securing the grant.

We are pleased to host District Governor Terry Rezendes Curran at our meeting Tuesday morning August 10th. This will be a full breakfast meeting.  Please all join us either in person or on zoom.  She will share with us her district goals for the year and some of the new Rotary initiatives.

Our Club Assembly this Tuesday July 27th will be our last totally zoom meeting.  Beginning August 4th we will begin in-person meetings at the Masons.  Coffee and fellowship at 7:15 with the bell ringing at 7:30. For fhe August 4th meeting please bring your own refreshments: coffee, tea and pastry, fruit etc.

The POPS committee led by Diane has secured the Hooper Mansion for a Friday night event and the Abbot Hall for the Saturday concert.  We are back in style.  We will have more expenses than last year.  To ensure fundraising success all of us need to get involved with obtaining sponsors.  Sponsors are investors in the good works we do in our community.

Becky has mailed checks to the organizations suggested by the Allocations committee and approved by the Board. In the fall we hope that a spokesperson from these organizations will speak to us at our meetings about their organization.

The “25th anniversary committee” is taking shape.  This group will help us to celebrate ourselves and our good works.  The time span will be between this September 16th till the 25th anniversary of our POPS involvement in 2022.  We have 15 months to celebrate ourselves. Please contact Jessica if you wish to join this group.  Thanks to Lee Weed for her presentation last week to start off our year.

Our Membership meeting is on September 14th.  Every member is encouraged to bring at least one person who might make a good Rotarian.  Someone interested in serving and fellowship, a person whose activities encompass personal goodwill and a person with a sense that the world will be a better place resulting from his/her work and effort in Rotary.
