Scuttlebutt June 26th, 2022 This Tuesday, after our BIG event last week, we will be joined by Jim Rine who will speak with us about Veterans for Peace.
How wonderful to see so many of our members and guests at our Initiation breakfast last week. Let’s keep supporting the Club with our presence each week. And how generous we were with donations to Friends Forever. Becky will have the funds to begin her leadership of this endeavor so important to our club.
We will NOT be meeting the first two weeks in July. Our fearless leader will be on the beach somewhere gearing up for her presidency.
Our support of the Lynn Homeless Shelter will continue with donations of diapers. Please bring size 4 and 5 to our meeting on Tuesday. When I shopped for diapers last week I was amazed at the cost. It is no wonder that at baby showers folks make requests for diapers. We used cloth so I was unaware.
Our speakers’ committees have provided us with fantastic speakers. Please support them by recommending names and topics. They will do the ask for they have the schedule. Let’s help them to keep us having vibrant meetings. At a District meeting of outgoing presidents, I shared some of the topics and speakers we have had. Other presidents were amazed at the variety we have had the pleasure of hearing. As we continue with hybrid meetings our speakers can come, as they have, from anywhere in our world.
