WINDRUSH FARM
Being what it is, New England weather
threw us a curve once again. Based on the
anticipated dampness and heavy rain predicted,
our 10/7 Windrush Farm Fall service project
was cancelled....temporarily.
We will be visiting Windrush Farm
in Spring, 2024.
So, watch Scuttlebutt for this opportunity
to do service that will benefit
veterans and disabled children and adults.
Julie Hahnke will be leading the
effort to reschedule the date.

on the responders' comments,
will be on the next Board agenda,

THIS YEAR'S FESTIVE ARTIST'S RECEPTION
will be held at the Masonic Hall
NOVEMBER 8, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
All members will want to
note the date and time on their calendars!
Honorary Members Pam Peterson and
Karyn Lang will host the event,
and this year's artist Mark Shasha
will unveil his original work,
which he is generously donating to
our Holiday Pops fundraising efforts.
(Shhh! Don't tell a soul, but Mark's
fabulous painting depicts a
New England coastal scene
that is sure to grace the home
of the lucky raffle winner.)

Are your club dues up to date?
First quarter dues covered
July through the end of September,
and second quarter dues notices
will be coming out soon.
Your dues cover the operating expenses of the club which include, among other expenses,
per member assessments from the District and
Rotary International and hall rental.
Remember that the $25/quarter additional charge on your invoice is designed to make it easier to reach Rotary's request for members to each contribute $100/year to the Rotary Foundation and is a voluntary contribution.
Foundation contributions may be made in any amount, and members who choose to may also either send a check to RI or go to the Rotary International site and hit the "Donate" button to put the contribution on a credit card.
Every dollar contributed to the Foundation will be used to fund District and Global grants addressing Rotary's Areas of Focus and to End Polio.
Check out Rotary's top rating on Charity Navigator.
You will be pleased and proud of Rotary's accomplishments.

A wonderful part of Rotary is the
fellowship and friendships
that can be made and cherished
among the different clubs.
The Marblehead Club
has invited our members to
a social evening, cash bar/food
at The Beacon
Nov. 14, 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Please let Linda know if you
would like to attend
as Don Dowling, their president,
has to give a number of
attendees to The Beacon.

Buddy Benches and Shade Trees
Francie King and Judith Black are doing the initial
fact-finding about locations and numbers of
folks who would benefit from a place for conversation.
While Marblehead has been blessed with a
significant number of memorial benches
at our town's parks and other places, there are still
spots where the benefits to mental health
would be increased by having a seat and a little shade
handy to enjoy interaction with another
human being. Stay tuned for
how our club might become involved.
