Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor
August 16, 2022 - 7th Week of Rotary Year 2022-23
GUEST SPEAKER
Steven Miller, Executive Director
The Lab Project

The Lab Project aims to build a world in which all life science and biotechnology companies, regardless of size, are sustainable. We envision an industry in which companies can factor sustainability into their operations from the outset, and where small startups are empowered to become sustainability leaders in their community.

The Lab Project is grounded in promoting social equity and environmental justice. We seek to collaborate with partners who share these values.

WORLD POLIO DAY &
APRIL BIG TOE PLUNGE
TO BENEFIT
END POLIO NOW

Our polio efforts this Rotary year may take on new meaning and new impetus. You may have seen news stories from reliable news sources that the polio virus has been detected in waste water samples in New York City. Please do keep apprised of these developments as we may want to not only raise money for RI's iconic project to End Polio Now, but we may want to consider launching a public information campaign to coincide with The Big Toe Plunge.

AUGUST SERVICE PROJECTS

• Resuming our monthly food donations to The Marblehead Food Pantry.

• Writing and signing cards for those who are in military service. Our deadline is Sept. 5.
Jeremy Barnett and Jason Maracani paid homage to Rotary International's 2022-23 theme - "IMAGINE Rotary" - at their second Marblehead pop-up public art installation this past weekend at Chandler Hovey Park.
What a great theme!
What are you "IMAGINE-ing"?
