Scuttlebutt April 18, 2021

This Tuesday our wonderful John Williams will represent his classification talk. So all please put on your Fascinators and Top Hats. 

Our Food Security Service Project is now focusing on helping students from Salem State.  In addition to providing food via the Amazon list and your weekly grocery contributions we may be providing additional financial support to individual students who the administration at SSU will help us choose.  We also are still supporting the Lynn Neighborhood Network both with donated food and supplies, thanks you Margaret, and possibly with a commercial grade refrigerator purchased with a District grant, thanks Linda D.   Thanks to Kathleen, Linda B, and Bob for the service project organization.  And thanks to those of you who have donated via our web page.   

Karyn will lead the discussion of Paul Harris awards this Tuesday.  In addition to the club award members can choose to honor someone with their individual points.

Jessica et al are organizing this year’s instillation planning for the end of June or beginning of July as a zoom event.  I would like for us to have a reopening of our in-person meetings as an evening party sometime in the summer.

The membership committee has almost completed the club documents you all will receive to help you in recruiting new members.  You will receive hard copy documents and well as access to copies on our web page.
