Scuttlebutt March 20, 2022
The Marblehead community and particularly the students of MHS are deeply saddened by the tragic death of James Galante.  May we support his family and friends in whatever way we are called to serve.

This Tuesday Lis Horwitz leader of the North Shore Friends of Refugees will share with us information about the Afghani Immigrants the group is supporting.  A few weeks ago we voted to support this group in whatever way each of us felt compelled to do.  Lis is known to us through her work with the Lynn Neighborhood Support group that we helped by providing a refrigerator also supported by a District Grant. In her work life Lis is a faculty at Salem State.

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the Rotary Foundation has made
available a comprehensive list of projects

In addition, the Stoneham Club is working with the Rotary Club of Kiev.
For more information contact Adam  Rodgers at  arodgers@bgcstoneham.org.

Possible Fellowship connection    MLT is presenting “Pirates of Penzance” in concert at Abbot Hall March 31 - April 3.  Floor/Table Tix are $40 each; balcony tix are $25 each. So far, you can select your table seat. Balcony is open seating.
On Tuesday we will ask if members would be interested in a members’ night?  If so, Jess can try to organize that with Andy. Everyone would have to purchase their own tickets online. If folks are interested in tables, maybe we could pick a night and Andy could reserve a couple of tables. Basically, side aisles or back row tables feel best to Jess because we will not be butted up against other people in that more open space.
