Greetings from D.C., home of the World Series Champions Washington Nationals. I interrupt my days long celebration to bring you some scuttlebutt.
ARTIST RECEPTION - THIS WEDNESDAY

Roy Brindamour will unveil the art work he created for Pops On The Move! at a reception in his honor at Abbot Library, 235 Pleasant Street, this Wednesday at 5:30 pm.
The unveiling of Brindamour’s 2019 Holiday Pops figure of Father Christmas will take place at the reception. Brindamour is an accomplished artist, and has made winter Holiday and Father Christmas figures for many years.
Each is made entirely by the artist, as he molds the faces and hands, constructs the figure and accessories, and sews each costume.
The Holiday Pops On the Move! art work will be raffled at the Pops on the Move! evening at the Hooper Mansion on December 14th. Raffle tickets will be available at the Reception at the library, at the Arnould Gallery, from Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor members and on the Pops concert evenings.

Let’s show our support for RCOMH’s Unsung Hero Dick Auffrey who, along with others, will be honored at the District’s Paul Harris Foundation Dinner. This Thursday. If you have not done so yet, please register below.
It will be an eventful evening, with special guest Massachusetts First Lady Lauren Baker, and a retired Marine who will be assigned a service dog sponsored by Rotary, through the Veterans Service Dog Project.

Salem Academy Charter School’s Adjoa Acquaah, paid a visit to our club to present her senior project to help a Rotary Club in Ghana. As part of her service learning requirements, she is asking Rotary Clubs to partner with the Rotary Club Accra West, in Ghana, to help raise funding for badly needed medical equipment and devices for a rural health center in Ghana. She made an impressive and passionate presentation.
“INTERACTCAFE” COMING TO THE NORTH SHORE
The recent InteractCafe in Winchester was a dynamic success! Rotarians and students alike left better informed, energized and most importantly, excited to get back to their clubs and put all that enthusiasm and energy to work.
The organizers promised that if the first event was successful, they would bring it to the North Shore to make it accessible to clubs in this part of the District.
And here it is: the next event will take place, Thursday, November 14th, 6:00 pm, at the Ipswich High School.
LAST SESSION ON HOW TO PLAN
FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
Three Voices took up the discussion of how seniors and their families face many decisions as life moves on. Should I continue to live where I live now? What are my options? What conversations do I need to have and with whom? Experienced professionals delved into that decision process over the last few weeks. And the last session is scheduled for Sunday, November 17th at 2 p.m. at the Masonic Hall, 62 Pleasant St
400+ RUNNING WITH DOGS

What an amazing day at the Goodness Gracious Run for Rescue on Saturday! We had over 400 runner/walkers, 30+ volunteers (including Interact Club volunteers), 27 sponsors and 8 amazing animal rescues that will benefit from the race! A big thank you to all those who helped us make this such an incredible event!
