MEMBERS AND INSTALLATION GUESTS TELL US WHAT THEY "IMAGINE"
At our June 21st club installation breakfast, we asked members and guests to write down and share with us what they "IMAGINE" in the spirit of the 2022-23 Rotary International Theme. We received 20 responses and here's  what they told us:

• Community Betterment

• To the 4-Way Test, add #5 – Will it be fun?

• Family memberships for our scholarship recipients’ parents.

• An honor given to a local senior.

• Saving cats and dogs left on streets and finding them homes.

• Safe housing for those living in conflict zones or impacted by natural disasters – Shelter Box!

• Continue the wonderful community projects.

• Social events bringing the neighboring clubs together.

• Diversity, Equity and Love.

• Cooking lessons by local chefs as fundraiser.

• The opportunity to bring hearing care to children and adults who would otherwise go without.

• The chance to share in the joy of being of service in our communities and abroad.

• A world where we have stopped the progression of climate change.
A world where guns are used only for hunting animals.
A more just and equitable world, regardless of race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation.

• Marblehead News will have a print ‘edition’ this year.

• A world where everyone respects one another.

• All Marblehead Seniors who want to be part of a village are able.

• Would love to see Rotary line up with the climate crisis organizations to move the dial on the greatest and most devastating issue homo sapiens have created and must address. Specifically, we could launch an anti-plastics campaign that would be hands on and could involve membership and friends at every level.

• A commitment to the young people in our community to keep them safe – We care about you! The recent tragedy with a member of the graduating class really affected our youth – Let’s reach out to them to keep them safe.

• I imagine a world where we stop burning stuff and buying stuff. Instead we create decentralized agrarian communities that create their own renewable energy and rituals for healthy growth into the adult world – no hunger, no homelessness, no hazardous chemicals. An egalitarian earth-based and honoring society where people, not corporations, determine policies and norms.

• No more teenagers die of substance abuse!
